Medical Case Management

Many individuals undergoing multiple treatment modalities and taking a plethora of different medications do not possess the knowledge to appropriately self-coordinate their care. RWI provides medical case managers who advocate a patients' well being by striving for functional restoration and palliation of symptoms. All of our case-managers are nurses who possess the knowledge and expertise to direct the patient towards maximum medical improvement. Through interaction with the patient and doctor's office, medical document analysis and utilization review, RWI's nurse case managers guide injured individuals along the care/treatment continuum. Medical case managment is an important component of any workers' compensation cost containment program.


Guiding injured employees towards evidence-based medical care ensures that only medically appropriate treatment is administered.
Unnecessary or erroneous treatment is avoided, resulting in positive treatment outcomes for the patient
and a reduction in costs for the employer. RWI provides both field (FCM) & telephonic (TCM) case management
services. RWI's proprietary case management software, iRWI, is the core of our medical case management
program. Our patient-centric software allows for the tracking of multiple cases by a single case manager.
Pertinent information is entered as a case note and medical documents are uploaded to the electronic
case file, acting as a digital fileroom.
